and I am currently incarcerated at FCI Aliceville, a federal prison in Aliceville, Alabama.  I was sentenced in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida to 188 months imprisonment after pleading guilty to possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1). First, and most importantly, I am very remorseful, and truly regret all my bad choices I have made in the past, and for my offenses, and for having offended society with my ignorance and lacking in my life. I pray that I am forgiven, and given this chance at freedom to prove to everyone who supports me that I am worthy of this trust; I  know that I will forever live to make amends and a positive difference in life; my goal is to never return to prison, breaking the law has given me the opportunity for me to take much needed time out for myself in this “quiet place” to find who I really am and learn more about myself, my beliefs, my values and reflect on everything that has happened to me in life. I am thankful for the program, Victim Impact, which I learned so much about “Coquette” along with the help of my mentor teaching the course. It is my desire to be involved in the progress and change which is needed in today’s society, using my experiences I have thus learned from my top role models, mentors, teachers, and the best examples that only God could have put in my path at this age and time in my life.  I have committed many wrongs in my past, however after this federal prison sentence, I know repeating any of my wrongdoings will only get me back here and this is not where I want to be, where I desire to be and where I want my life to end.  I will never jeopardize my most precious asset in life:  my freedom.  I must not only be strong enough to face my challenges for myself, but for my family, for society and all who believe in me.  I thank God for such a strong family support system that has been with me every step of the way throughout my dark days.  I strongly believe my family see the potential I have in me and the person I am capable of being…I just could not see if for myself, until now.  My positive role models have been Ms. Alice Johnson and Judith Negron; both women invested so much of themselves into me to help me become the woman I am now.  The Chaplains and the teachers in the Education Department pushed me to see my real self and persuaded me to get my GED. I have actively programmed and taken all the necessary classes required for me to help better my life.  Prison has a way of helping you reach the real hard-core knowledge of how to survive and I can honestly say, this experience has truly helped me. I am not only ready for a second chance of life, but I am eager to use my talents and skills I acquired here in prison to perhaps reach someone else that find themselves in my shoes, thinking perhaps they have no way to turn but the wrong way, I am willing to help the next person not make the same mistakes as I have, that has cost me my freedom and my time with my family.  My goal is to reach out to troubled teens and ex- offenders struggling and share with them my experiences. Listed below are my Accomplishments and Classes: *Earned my GED in 5-14-2015. *Drug Education Course *Basic Cognitive Skill *Taken all RPP Classes offered by the FBOP (Residential Placement Programs) *ACE Empowerment Classes *Money Smart *American History *Parenting *Taken all the required ACE (Adult Continuing Education) classes offered by the FBOP. Plans after prison: My plans are to renter into society with a stable and healthy mind; seek employment and save money.  My dream is to invest into a re-entry program for ex-offenders, ages 18 and above, combined with a non- disciplinary and disciplinary behavior group for minors ages 10 - 17. I have studied so hard for myself, and as I learned I became aware of the vast ways in which a person can make differences for others with one’s life experience. I have learned that America’s youth need mentors. I feel that I am capable of filling key positions in different areas of great need. I have learned of so many different Justice Departments that offer ex-offenders the opportunity to join in and speak to troubled youths and help underline the need for rehabilitation and awareness against crime. Covid-19 slowed down the access of taking more classes, however, I recently just completed the class Women of the 21st Century. I pray and humbly ask that my petition is considered and approved and extend my gratitude for your time in this matter. Sincerely, Coquette Frost
